The challenge was upon Peter and his family. After a struggling start, Peter and the Don’s never gave up, persisting and working hard to build PJ’s Concrete Pumping into a very successful business. With Keelan Don (Peter’s son) coming into the business in 2008, the business has continued to go from strength to strength, expanding their fleet and personnel, whilst continuing to pour the foundations of the Goulburn Valley and beyond.

Unable to stay idle for too long, Peter and Keelan were onto the next challenge for the Don family to pursue. They had seen an opportunity in Australia to fill a gap in the 4×4 market for premium and high quality canopies and ute lids, paired with a high level of service by outstanding service. Hence in 2013, PJ’s 4X4 was born.

Businesses were travelling well and in 2018, Peter bought himself a 1958 DON Caravan as a collector’s item and was overwhelmed with memories of caravanning and camping with his family throughout the years. Peter and Keelan felt the everyone in Australia should be able to experience this and decided to draw upon their extensive business knowledge and customer service excellence to establish Donway Caravans.

Donway Caravans is focused on providing quality caravans at an affordable price and will be based out of the same premises as PJ’s 4×4 in Kialla VIC.

Now building our own iconic caravan, Donway can ensure a premium quality build, exceptional service all at a reasonable price.

Peter said, “My mission is to help Australians rediscover the simple pleasures of passing time in the great outdoors and to have all my family and close acquaintance along for the ride.

Whether it be in a caravan or canopy I don’t mind. I just want people to have the chance to “Live the Australian dream”.
